YOGA IS A SIMPLE PRACTICE THAT QUIETLY REVEALS THE MAGIC OF BEING ALIVE. THROUGH CALM BREATHING AND MINDFUL MOVEMENT, IT ALLOWS US TO PAUSE FOR A MOMENT IN THE RUSH OF LIFE, BRINGING OUR ATTENTION BACK TO THE BODY. YOGA IS THE PRACTICE OF COMING HOME TO YOURSELF.

Baba Yoga Love is a space created by me — Marta Suchorończak. Just a woman.

Sometimes gentle and caring, sometimes angry and rebellious, but most of the time easy-going and optimistic — often just a sweaty woman in the middle of her practice.

The name Baba Yoga is a play on words.
In Polish, baba is an informal word for a woman. It has a slightly rural, old-fashioned feel to it and often describes a woman who is strong, practical, down-to-earth, and not particularly concerned with being polished or delicate.

Baba Yoga also sounds a lot like Baba Yaga, the well-known witch from Slavic folklore.

I added “Love” at the end for a reason. It is a reminder of how I want to approach what I do — how I treat myself, my body, and the people who step onto the mat.

I practise and teach yoga to better understand who I am — to become more aware, open my heart, and keep my body strong and mobile.

I teach Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga, combining tradition with an individual approach to each person and their practice.

For me, yoga is a simple, repetitive practice — a regular return to the breath and the body. A way of working with the mind through the body.

And yet, through this simple, grounded, repetitive practice, I keep finding a little bit of magic in life.

It has brought different places, people, and experiences into my life.

Freedom begins in the space you create within yourself.

I organize yoga holidays and workshops, with Spain now being the main destination for my yoga holidays.

I completed postgraduate studies in Classical Yoga at the University of Wrocław. During the most recent edition of the programme, I returned toco-teach the course, sharing my experience of yoga practice and working with the body.

I taught yoga in Mauritius for a year and a half, and the island stole my heart. I have been returning to India for many years. I first practised with Sharath Jois, and I now study with Vijay Kumar. For the past two seasons, I have also been assisting him during Mysore classes.

I feel strongly connected to the yoga community in Wrocław. Whenever I’m in the city, I teach classes and meet fellowpractitioners — both on and off the mat.

I have completed two Ashtanga Yoga teacher training courses:

  • in 2015 with Beata Darowska and Basia Lipska Larsen,
  • in 2025 with Vijay Kumar.
